The Junction – Guelph
This full front-and-back landscape in Guelph was designed to make a newer property feel finished, welcoming, and easy to use—day to day and when friends are over.
In the front yard, the entry experience is clean and intentional. A natural limestone flagstone walkway leads you to the door with solid stone steps and a layout that feels relaxed but organized. Retaining walls manage grade changes alongside the walk and driveway, finished in a warm buff veneer with natural coping so the stonework feels substantial and tied to the home. Integrated hardscape lighting adds a subtle glow at night, and a permeable driveway surface helps water move through the system instead of sitting on top.
The backyard becomes a true retreat. A natural swim pond and stream anchors the space, built with full equipment and filtration, rock work, aquatic planting, and a defined swimming zone. Boulder retaining shapes the pond edge, while cedar landings and a rustic, Japanese-style boardwalk connect the key areas—including an overhang moment right above the water. The yard is finished with a pizza-oven patio zone, layered planting (including a pea-stone “Zen garden” area), cedar privacy fencing, landscape lighting, and full restoration/cleanup.
Before the Landscape Transformation
Before the landscape work began, the property felt unfinished, with overgrown areas, rough grading, and no defined outdoor spaces to connect the home with the yard.

During Construction
This stage shows the build taking shape, from site preparation and pond excavation to boulder placement, structural elements, and the early formation of the backyard retreat.

After Completion
The finished landscape transforms the property into a warm, functional retreat, with a natural swim pond, stonework, cedar features, layered planting, and spaces designed for both everyday use and entertaining.
